Small Mouth Bass
The Mattawamkeag River, here in Maine has excellent small mouth bass fishing through out the summer. The lower parts we fish out of a canoe, or we can go up river and wade or fish from the shore, and visit some historical sites such as bible point, were Roosevelt fished and read his bible, a hundred years ago on his fishing trips to Maine.

A day spent on wytopitlock lake not only can provide small mouth bass but white perch and pickerel too, and if you want a change of scenery a short drive into the woods and we have the option of a few other ponds as well.

Brook Trout
Brookies can be found in many of the small streams and the river near camp. The small streams are ideal for fishing with spinners or worms, where fly fishing upper parts of the river in certain areas have produced some nice brook trout.

Fishing / Canoe camping trips
There are many remote places in northern Maine that I am sure doesn’t see more than a few fishermen, per year. We can also plan a canoe trip into some of the more remote places mainly for Brook Trout but the possibility or other fishing as well.
